Meet The Backbone of
Hospital Docs PA
At the core of Hospital Docs is a leadership team driven by purpose, compassion, and a commitment to doing what’s right—for patients, providers, and partners. Our Founder and CEO, Dr. Ali Bhuriwala, our COO, and our data and process improvement lead form the foundation that guides everything we do. Their vision and dedication shape the direction of our company and ground us in the values we stand for: Compassion, Coordination, and Continuity. Through their efforts behind the scenes, they ensure that every decision reflects our mission to deliver connected, patient-centered care that supports lasting outcomes and meaningful relationships across every stage of healing.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Ali Bhuriwala, MD
Dr. Bhuriwala founded Hospital Docs PA with a deep, heartfelt commitment to improving patient-centered care while also supporting the well-being of healthcare professionals. Throughout his time as a primary care physician, he witnessed firsthand the burnout that comes from balancing the demands of caring for hospitalized patients while managing a busy clinic schedule. This experience fueled his passion to create Hospital Docs PA, a hospitalist group designed to offer a better work-life balance for physicians while delivering the highest quality care to patients. Dr. Bhuriwala’s vision was born from a desire to break away from the traditional model where hospital-employed hospitalists often lack the communication and collaboration with primary care providers (PCPs) that is so critical to patient care. He believes that by fostering open lines of communication between hospitalists and PCPs, we can improve patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and provide more cohesive, compassionate care. “Taking the time to truly listen to our patients is not just about providing care; it’s about fostering trust and healing. This approach, when embraced, has the power to transform healthcare as a whole,” says Dr. Bhuriwala. His mission is dedicated to reducing physician burnout and creating an environment where healthcare providers can find fulfillment in their work while delivering exceptional care to their patients.

Chief Operation Officer
Valerie Ott
Valerie’s unwavering commitment to improving both patient care and the well-being of healthcare providers lies at the heart of her role as COO at Hospital Docs PA. Before joining the hospitalist team, Valerie worked as a practice manager in a medical office, where she saw firsthand how critical clear and effective communication between providers is to the success of patient care and outcomes. Her experience in the front lines of healthcare solidified her belief that communication is the key to both improving care and supporting healthcare professionals. She is deeply driven by the belief that when communication is transparent and thoughtful, it not only enhances patient care but also fosters a supportive environment for providers. Valerie believes that doing the right thing, even when faced with challenges, always leads to the best outcomes for everyone involved. “Being able to connect with people and make a positive impact is what truly fulfills me,” Valerie shares. She is continuously working toward improving communication practices that strengthen patient care and enable providers to find harmony in their professional lives. For Valerie, it’s all about creating a balance that allows healthcare professionals to care for their patients without sacrificing their own well-being.

Data Analytic & Process Improvement
Brittney Wech
With over 12 years in healthcare, Brittney brings not just experience, but heart, to her work. She’s seen firsthand how much of a difference a dedicated hospitalist can make—not just during a hospital stay, but in the days, weeks, and months that follow. That understanding drives everything she does. In her role focused on data analytics and process improvement, Brittney uses numbers to tell stories—stories about patient experiences, provider performance, and the opportunities in between. She tracks key performance indicators to help physicians grow, improve care, and better meet the needs of those they serve. But for Brittney, it’s never just about the data—it’s about listening. She believes the best improvements come from those on the front lines: patients, families, post-acute teams, and primary care providers. “I want every person who speaks up to know that their voice matters,” she says. Her work is about turning that feedback into real, lasting change—so that every patient feels seen, every provider feels supported, and every experience leads to something better.
